At SEF, we are one of the largest vegetable farms in the South of England and we have extremely high standards. That is why we are able to meet the demanding requirements of top retailers, such as Sainsbury’s and Tesco.
We are currently recruiting seasonal workers to join our team and share in our success. We are looking for people who are hard-working and enthusiastic to carry out a wide range of jobs – including field work (planting, picking) packing, loading and tractor-driving. We would want you to show your initiative and we would value your skills.
We have two main types of seasonal field work:
Planting. - The season runs from end of February – end of September
Harvesting. - The season runs from mid May – November
Seasonal work can lead to long term opportunities. Following an appraisal, we may look to extend your contract. We are one of the few employers in our industry that can offer year round permanent work.
Subject to all relevant Right To Work checks, we welcome seasonal workers from a wide range of countries as well as the UK. These include seasonal workers from Lithuania, Romania, Bulgaria, and Latvia amongst many other countries around the world.
We are seeking tractor drivers initially on seasonal contracts.
With over 60 modern tractors carrying out the many operations there is a task for every skill level of a tractor driver. If you have experience as a tractor driver or hold a PA1 and PA2, that is preferred but not essential.
So long as you hold a valid driver’s license, training will be provided for tasks that will match your ability.
Many of our seasonal drivers progress onto a permanent contract at the end of the season.
You will be paid competitive rates (including pay for overtime hours worked)
